Another great year for Perspectives: Art on Environment, and local artists and poets gathered to reprise the opening performance event to close out season five. Partnering artists with written pieces inspired by adopted sphere “data sets” performed and visitors got a last look at the art before the show comes down this week. Year six will be open in the fall of 2019.
Art Director Keri Maxfield at the Nurture Nature Center has been facilitating the literary and visual art and workshops in this program for five years now, and many participants described this year as the best yet, bridging partnering artists with topics inspired by the science presented on their famous 360 sphere. Here is a peek, one of the first of our “Looking Local” videos, intended to highlight Lehigh Valley creatives and the projects in the community.
