Poets discuss poetry, and speak to the question: “What is it good for?”
Of course, different people like different things. Some art speaks to you, some doesn’t. You might even be one of those people who hated poetry in school, or hate to read it or listen to it now. You might wonder why there are so many poets around.
In this panel for the Easton Book Festival, moderator Darrell Parry will ask poets to respond. Why do you read and write poetry? Does it contribute to society, and how? Does it serve the community, and does it need to?
