In January, we will be hosting a new performance series and open mic each month at the Ice House in Bethlehem. There will be scheduled features, performers, books and barter tables if participants have interest, and time for mingling as a community.
Hosts will be arriving at 6:00, with the start time at 6:30 for open mic sign ups and community connecting. At 7:00, the performers will start and we plan to offer open mic slots of about five minutes with additional second sets if time permits. The hope is that it will be diverse, welcoming of collaboration and mixed styles, and will be an atmosphere where experimentation and sharing are encouraged.
The Ice House is a great space, centrally located for locals and with plenty of room for flexibility. The events will be posted on facebook so those planning to attend can check in on upcoming dates and see performer updates. Most events will be on the first or second Tuesday of the month.
We will also have a “pop up” book shop of local titles and welcome author involvement. You will start seeing photos, videos, and more so please check in with Lehigh Valley Poetry on facebook, instagram, and twitter. Follow and help us find you!

Our “Tuesday Muse” was drawn by Bee in Pittsburgh/Easton and we appreciate the use of the art for our flyers. Please help us share this event with friends who might have interest! Thank you and hope to see you.
